The Restaurant

As part of our tradition of hospitality we now (since August 2012) also have our own restaurant, "La Taverna del Borgo", on the ground floor of the hotel.

Choose one of our eight tables for an unforgettable dining experience. Your host Marcello will be happy to explain to you the traditional dishes and their origins, and to advise you on the wide selection of Ligurian wines available to accompany your choice of dishes.

Our selection of dishes is innovative and tasty, combining delicacies from the traditions of two very distinct parts of Italy, the Ligurian Riviera and the Amalfi Coast which, despite the distance between them, share many similarities through the sea that is common to both areas, the Mediterranean vegetation on the mountains that plunge into the deep coastal waters, the pelagic life-forms in the sea, and the ancient recipes that date back to the Maritime Republics of the Middle Ages. We offer a short menu that changes frequently to include seasonal products and also incorporates the specialities of the day that are available from the local market.

Through the use of many excellent products from the "Presidio Slow Food" brand and "km zero" raw materials we will help you to rediscover ancient Ligurian dishes (from Cappon Magro to Brandacuiun, from fish soup to the lamb of Zeri), and specialities from Amalfi - the chef's homeland - such as anchovies, pesto cetarese, the scialatielli and 'ndunderi of Minori, and swordfish in lemon leaves, followed by the legendary tiramisu limoncello, pastiera, or babas.
